Interesting collection of paintings, sculptures and many books about Napoleon as collected by Mr. Paul Marmottan during the late ninteenth and the beginning of the 20th century. The museum organizes concerts, lectures, conferences, activities for children and temporary expositions about the life of Napoleon. The museum is housed in a nicely renovated historical building, equipped with elevator and restrooms. The house has a garden open for the public. .Free entrance.
Beautiful place. The library, the apartments, the garden of the house ... It is not the typical place to see in Paris (especially if you are in the city for a short time), and it is far from the center. But if you have time, or are interested in any of its exhibitions, it is highly recommended. I was delighted to find out.
Very nice library
Particularly interesting for enthusiasts of the 1st Empire. Numerous conferences on this theme. Beautiful furniture back from Egypt. Nice place. Always on top. July 2018.
Free entry is priceless. An exceptional collection of period books, and always interesting exhibitions.
