Taxi-Télé - GIE Taxi Bordeaux

ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!! Do not EVER use this taxi service - they charged us £120 for a 5km ride. The driver was rude and aggressive. We had made a reservation (we booked online and confirmed on the phone) to go to Libourne train station at 5AM. The morning of our trip, the driver said he could only go to Bordeaux train station and would have to charge us £120. The online calculator said the journey should have been £26! This is unacceptable. The driver proceeded to aggressively lecture us and customer service has not yet been helpful in finding a solution. PLEASE AVOID THIS TAXI COMPANY

Unfortunately this company is a prime example of exploiting foreign travelers who are not able to speak the language. The unprofessionalism was remarkable. After using this service from Libourne to Fronsac (>5km drive), we took a business card in case we needed another taxi. After trying to book the taxi online (which stated it would cost between €24-30), we called to confirm so we would not have any issues in the morning. We confirmed the 05:00 taxi over the phone to take us from Fronsac to Libourne. Upon the taxi’s arrival, we stated we were going to the train station. However, after about 15 minutes (the ride is less than 10 minutes) we clarified the destination, only to find out the driver was taking us to Bordeaux (a 50 minute drive). After yelling at us for the next 10 minutes and being extremely derogatory to my friend (who is conversational in French), we were forced to pay €120 for what should have been a 10 minute ride. I have never experienced such unprofessional (yelling at us for their mistake) or felt in such a hostile environment while traveling (feeling as if we could not physically leave the cab). We were not able to compromise with the driver because French is not our first language and we felt that if we did not pay that we would not be allowed out of the car. As young women, this was an extremely uncomfortable situation to find ourselves in. Not only did we feel very unsafe and frightened, but we felt that we may not be allowed out had we not payed such an exuberant fee. It is very discouraging to see how this company exploits their customers. I recommend you DO NOT use this service, especially if your French is not proficient or if you are female. Uber is a much better option if you are in the area. Very disappointed and very concerned about how Taxi Télé treats their customers.

I gave 5 stars just to get noticed considering the poor service of this taxi company. It is really 0 star.15 euros for less than 2 kms is a rip off. They also charge for small luggage they do not handle. To avoid absolutely.

ordered taxi online because I was going to fly the morning after. taxi should show up at 9:30, that did not show up at all. at 9:50 we ordered uber and it was there 4 minutes later. do not recommend this!

Cab picked us up at 6.30 am. Meter showed 10.7 Euros. We were told it was a night rate and he demanded 20Euro. SCAM! Will never use again. I wrote to the company and never heard back. UPDATE The company contacted me a few days later and I resent the information as they said that they did not get my original email. Waiting to hear back.
