La Maison du Kougelhopf - Pâtisserie Buhler

Very cute and quiet inside but our kougelhopf tasted dry and like it was a few days old. Everything else is prepackaged and not looking very nice. But, if it’s rainy and cold...

Three of us stopped in for mid morning breakfast. My mother-in-law spent a good amount of money on a tiny coffee and 2 rolls. Service was pretty good until we sat down outside. The owner didn't want me seated at a table because I, personally, hadn't bought anything. The 3 of us were sharing the two rolls. She didn't seem to care that my mother-in-law and wife had spent as much money as they did. I just said, "Okay, I'll stand over here then." I can understand not wanting random people to take up valuable outdoor table space, but there were only 2 other couples sitting outside. A dozen or so seats remained for other customers. We were paying customers and were still treated like this. I felt embarrassed for the owner that she acted like that - really sad to see.

I came here for a Kougelhopf, and I was not disappointed. The traditional baked treat was fluffy and delicious, sprinkled with powdered sugar and embedded with just the right amount of raisins. They had other tempting tasty treats as well, such as Easter chocolates. They truly are masters of the Kougelhopf!

Very tasty and very cozy cafe

Really a delightful find. I very much enjoyed the pastries and coffee. The service was great. I recommended others to stop by and enjoy this place.
