Chalet D'Clair

One of the best lunch places in Grand Massif. Some waiting time at 2pm, but burger was great, and coffee was perfect. I would recommend the marshmallow hot chocolate, it’s very good.

Food was average, but it is nice to sit outside in the sun. Weirdest thing was making the payment. Waitress was being almost overly nice to us making loads of jokes and when we went to pay with a 100€ bill she short changed us by 50€. We thought it was a joke because she was laughing and saying thank you as she walked away very sarcastically. We thought she’d come back right away but she didn’t and it got a bit weird. She kept looking over at us also, but never came over with change. Finally we got up to leave and had to ask her for our money, she looked a bit confused but then quickly gave us the correct change without us even saying the amount. Seems like she was just being overly polite so we wouldn’t notice it missing or would pass it off as a tip because she was nice.. waiting to see if the foreigners would notice.. not very nice and I wouldn’t go back.

Lunchtime respite from skiing and the weather. Hearty food good service. Always very good.
