HSBC Paris Rivoli

Surreal conversation with my bank representative. A Premier HSBC client since 2007, I received out of the blue a registered letter informing that my accounts would be closed. No explanation, no prior contact, nothing. I have never had problems with the bank and vice versa. My banker could not provide me with any information whatsoever, suggesting only that I change banks. Unbelievable! Worst customer service ever.

The agency director was extremely patient and understanding. Never had any problems while using this bank and they were quite reasonable for international transfers.

Worst bank ever. It's always a pain to get things done especially when you live abroad. It might not be the ground's staff fault who work with tools provided but i would sack the retail bank product management team.

I cannot say enough negative things about my experience at this bank. I am an HSBC US customer and have been trying unsuccessfully to open an account for 2 months. All emails are ignored, meetings have been canceled and the banker I have worked with (Charles Daumer) refuses to make any progress. In France, a resident needs an IBAN in order to receive health insurance. Due to this branch and banker, I have been unable to receive any insurance and have needed to pay for all medical appointments and medicine. What this branch is doing is illegal and I am planning to take all action against them. Avoid - for expats, only use the HSBC online system. Expect no service or help from this branch.

No contact with, my supposedly, a counselor for over a year since she was appointed. I am thinking of changing banks ...
