Château d'Igé

We didn't stay in the castle. We just had a dinner there. The decor is splendid. You can choose amongst the three rooms with a totally different atmosphere. We went for the red one, which was the smallest and cosiest one. However, we found the food very basic and totally overpriced. Good, but nothing more than that. One could easily make it at home. The staff was quite rigid. We missed some spontaneity there. Nice experience for once, but we would recommend other places.

Fantastic ambience and experience. But I guess they did not expect that many customers and staff was a bit overworked - still tried their best.

Full of character. Good food

Our second time here in as many months. Staying in a real castle in a very large upgraded room in a tower - what’s not to like! Even better when the service is at the 5• level! And then it’s restaurant is fabulous with excellent regional wines and foods! Fantastic dinner - our group will return.
