I've never had an issue with ashgrove surgery I've been a patient here since I was 16 I'm now 38 and after what just happened I'm actually complaining about the service. I understand with all that is going on right now things are different. I've had a medical issue that has been going on for 6 weeks now I was rushed to hospital at one point for suspected blood clot luckily it was all fine I've been on antibiotics for 6 weeks I have a to go for an operation I have the pre-assesment team calling me asking if I'm any better to be referred to have this operation. So yesterday I done an e- consult as advised I got an email asking me to call the surgery i was under the impression that was why i spent half an hour doing the e- consult to get a call as that what happened over the last few weeks.the receptionist was not very understanding and said that I have to wait till Monday unless I thought it was an emergency so I said well it is affecting me as I am unable to put a shoe on, unable to walk very far but also it is actually stopping me from going for an operation that i really need to have. I'm in some pain with it that is travelling up my leg. I've never been treated like this by anyone in fact most of receptionist there pretty much know me by name I'm shocked and disgusted at this. Like a previous patient said it no wonder a&e is full. This response has really upset me. Definitely thinking of changing doctors everyone always says how bad ashgrove is and that I should definitely think of changing but I have always defended you. My mistake disappointed is an understatement.

nurse 5/5 management 1/5 Rude staff on front desk. Also taken 3 sign ons in 2 weeks for me to actually be put on the system

Absolutley fantastic service. Been in and seen on time every appointment. Very friendly and professional doctors and staff. Also used their e-consult service and was messaged back in 3 hours! Would recommend.

My wife has just phoned to see a doctor to be told to ring again tomorrow so a she can make an appointment for the doctor to ring her next Monday and they wonder why there are so many people in A&E What is happening to our surgeries? ?

Sadly having to leave because of moving away however this surgery has been incredible. Dr Matthews is very passionate in helping people and with solving my issues. Never had problems with appointments either, definitely recommend.
