An interesting 5000 year old Neolithic site. Some good info boards explaining the history. There’s a small car park (about 6 car spaces) and 10 min walk from there to the site (not pushchair friendly). The trees surrounding the site have all sorts of tributes and offerings tied to them - the site seems to be a bit of a pagan magnet. The site is fenced off but lots of folks hopping over the fence to touch the stones which isn’t really a problem I think.

Great little walk. Not a huge amount to see but fantastic peaceful Kent countryside. An old tree had been draped in colourful ribbons next to the Long Barrow.

It was good to be at this historical place and imagine how it would have been at that time. My navigation took me through Pilgrims Way then Pinefield Lane which is very narrow allowing only one vehicle at a time. There are lay-by though. The walk was nice with beautiful views and through the woodland. We walked down to Ryarsh village which is beautiful. There's a pub, Duke of Wellington, perfect for a pint out in their garden on a sunny day!

Lived in the area for years and had never quite made it to the site.....until today! Car park was busy but had space. Site is a short walk through the countryside and accessed via a good set up steps. It was very quiet whilst we were, there drinking in the fabulous views and wondering what life had been like so long ago. For a monument 1000 years older than Stonehenge it deserves more recognition but I'm happy if we keep it quiet a little while longer

A nice little historic site to visit along a walking route. Take a ribbon to hang on the wishing tree!
