Nice, easy launching for small boats, excellent and knowledgeable staff when transiting the lock in a larger boat. Always go out of their way to try and accommodate us with a cheap, peaceful mooring. Well worth the air draft hassles of Aylesford bridge to visit 👍

This area used to be in pristine condition, the borders and flowers were tidy and beautiful to look at and there was never any rubbish around. Imagine my horror when there was rubbish everywhere, an old car in bits that would have looked better in a scrapyard and when driving down the bushes definitely needed trimming because I considered it very dangerous for pedestrians. The Environment Agency need to sort this out, especially as they are a government company. I will be complaining to my MP in due course.

For all those people that don't know, there is a really good little tea shop next to the lock that serves many types of food and drinks, and it open in the lock down.

Nice walk along the river and had nice tea and pastie by the lock. Nice to get out for a walk during lockdown.
