Location of 1945 film Brief Encounter. Famous clock currently removed for renovation from Sept 2020. Recreation of refreshment room open until 4pm
Absolutely lovely me and the wife called here on the 4th November 2020 will go again next year when this virus is out of the way and have a proper look at the bar where the filming was done for brief encounter
Had a great time at the heritage centre, informative and very friendly staff, will be even better once the tea room opens again.
Nice place to visit if in the area, good history, especially for the film buff.
Nice shops close by.
Came on a rainy day and received a bright warm welcome. The volunteers are passionate about their area and the heritage of the station. I had such a lovely visit. Even though the tea room was closed there is a little refreshment stand. Fans of the brief encounter film are in for a treat. I shall return again post covid. Heres to a great encounter. The exhibition was very well put together as well as a good gift shop. I really recomend it
