Very nice place for a walk and some great views! It was helped by the snow that was around, it makes everything that little bit better in my opinion but would have been great without regardless. Recommend for a day out.
Nice spot, plenty of parking. Only costs a pound for all-day, which is a welcome change.
Picnic area, that can get busy. We always try to get there early to go for a walk down the Lune, and gran a coffee upon our return.
Nice little cafe and clean washrooms.
Nice natural beauty spot near Lancaster. The river looks brown from afar but close up you can see that it's pretty clear. There is a small car park across the bridge and picnic benches situated at the bridge level overlooking the hills. Further down people tend to picnic on the fields too. It also makes a nice walk along the river and you can see the water increase speed to the rapids. Brilliant day out.
Lovely views picnic sitting area but I would advise you too wrap up warm because it can get a bit chilly especially this time of year.
A flask of your hot beverage would be nice too take with you.
Beautiful picnic spot, lovely views at the start of the walk right next to it, cheap parking (£1/day), brilliant fried treats at Woodies. Would strongly recommend pulling off the M6 for a break here.
