Came here on a group visit and spent a lovely afternoon here. The Georgian house is embellished with romantic battlements and turrets and is surrounded by beautiful parkland. Our guide Suzie - the owner of the house - came out to greet us and took us on a tour of the downstairs rooms. She was so welcoming, made us feel right at home and gave us lots of interesting facts about the estate's history and the Gillow furniture making family who have lived here for generations. The house is full of beautiful furniture and art but at the same time has the feel of a comfortable family home. Gorgeous views of the park from the large windows. We had an excellent afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and a variety of cakes. There's a small gift shop and accessible toilets. Plenty of time afterwards to explore the walled garden with its lovely flowers and fruit trees, woodland trail and caterpillar maze, and sit in the rose garden with the estate's cattle grazing just yards away! All in all an enjoyable visit, would definitely come again!

Stunning place for a walk - brilliant estate and a picturesque hall. Views from the benches at the top of Summerhouse Hill are particularly spectacular.

Lovely place to see, thank you for the explanations and the entertainment. It was really nice to talk to mother and daughter. We had a wonderful day. We will be back soon. Let's hope we can book the tickets on line this time. You know who we are......

A lovely place to visit with children. We didn’t manage to look around the house as It was fully booked but we did look round the gardens and did the woodland trail. Nice activity books provided for the children on arrival with things to do and faces to look out for on the trees. There is a small playground in the trees which was nice on a hot day. A great birds of prey display. Cafe was ok, but it was cold in there and smelt of damp. Definitely take a picnic.

Beautiful family home. Member of the family showed us around very informative. COVID prevents some areas but well worth a visit
