Stopped off for somewhere to have lunch while I was passing with work. The miniature railway looks interesting and well run. I will be going back for another look when I am in the area.
A hidden gem of the Lake District. Ride time is over 10 minutes for one circuit of the large layout and they have plenty of trains running at any one time, although this may be reduced during Covid when bookings are necessary, see their Facebook page for latest news. While you're waiting for the kids, husbands, wives, grandparents or friends to finish their ride, you can grab a drink and see the llamas in the field by the track. Special events are run through the year.
Fantastic little railway and grounds. The trains are great and there is a lovely picnic area where you can watch them go round.
Great for young children. The model railway operates a pay as you feel policy (reccomend £1 per ride. There are a few different trains that you can get that make a loop of the park with a picnic site in the middle.
