Restaurant is set in the best location at the loch side with amazing views all round. The food however is not the best quality. Took us a while to pick from the limited menu which was primarily, pasta, kebabs or fish and chips (burgers were on the special board). We ordered the pasta dish and the mixed kebab and two cokes, food was very basic, came to around £40, the coke itself wasn't close to a pint and was about £3. Not the worst time of my life, just expected something a bit more scottish with the location and overall better quality food for the price.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this place has forced my hand. The good reviews on trip advisor and google are undoubtedly made by fake accounts. The only good thing about this restaurant is the view you can see out the window, which is unquestionably beautiful. Nevertheless, I was surprised when I looked at the menu and it was mainly Turkish food which is not how it is advertised, and I was even more surprised by the awful quality of the food. I’ve never been to a restaurant and thought to myself that I could cook better food than this. Ingredients not fresh, badly presented, greasy food, suspected microwaved food, the list goes on. Make some of your own food and have a little picnic by the Loch instead of going to this restaurant, I guarantee your food will be nicer. I hope the restaurant steps up because if they had nice food paired with the location it could be a really special place to go out to eat.

We were in Scotland for a weeks holiday and ate here twice it was so good. We could have eaten at cheaper places I.e. the pubs by the canal, but The Boathouse has good food and a nice view. The service is great, with the servers making you feel welcome and relaxed. The food is good quality and tasty with enough to be filling without over doing it. The view of Loch Ness whilst sitting outside having a drink at sunset is awesome. We will probably go back here next year.

Squeezed us in even though we didn't have a booking last minute as our booking elsewhere fell through. Staff were friendly and the food was good. These guys have a great spot right on the lochside and I imagine in the sun this place would be even better.

Vegetarians be warned, theres few options here. I had a depressed looking fish and chips with 11 peas. He had penne with bits of broccoli garnished with cheese and garlic bread fresh from the packet. The view was stunning.
