Last year we went but its a Small house but well worth a visit My 7 year old daughter did a house tour quiz, orienteering tour and tried archery. There were numerous picnic tables and plenty of activities to do. A great day out! Staff really friendly and welcoming, took time to chat!
I know, I know! Closed at the moment. But I do love afternoons out at the hall. Looking forward to my next visit and saying hi to everybody - when ever that will be.

This is beautiful old building with fine examples of architecture and medieval weaponry. A very worthwhile place to visit.
We had a great afternoon here. The building is very interesting and we enjoyed a talk in the Great Hall which was fascinating. The small cafe was quaint and prices were very reasonable. Volunteers couldn't have been more helpful. Thoroughly recommended. It also helped that the sun was shining!
Really enjoyed the trip. Kids enjoyed the little key Hunt in the hall and the walk through the garden's. With the kids it is only a few hours of a trip really as there is not lots to keep them entertained.
The cafe was really nice with a good mix of cakes to choose from and it's table service as well. Plenty of parking and the members of the NT team were very friendly and helpful.
