Very nice place to sit down and relax after a long walk. The coffee was good and the staff were very attentive. The atmosphere of the place is very nice, with a consistent nautical theme throughout. The decor is very nice and welcoming - with room for several large groups easily fitting 6+ people in each. Good range of drinks, lovely staff - very nice place to go!

We visited the Boat House during August 2020 during a visit to Loch Lomond. The service was very good and it was nice to see the kitchen and be able to see the food being made. Lovely views and definitely worth trying. We had the special that day which was Lobster Wellington. It was very nice.

Took the family for a special birthday dinner. View is spectacular with the boats, the loch and the marina. Staff were pleasant but service was not 1st class. Guessing it was a reduced menu due to Covid but a good selection. Starters were amazing, pigeon, scallops and salmon. Great presentation and flavours. Main course was however a complete let down. Plaice came with way too much fish and the ragu more like soup with little flavour. Risotto and steak were pretty standard, nothing spectacular. For a top class venue this really didn't hit the mark for us.

Came here for takeaway food during covid. The staff had conflicting information about ordering takeaway and doing track and trace. Made anxieties worst when we had to go through the restaurant a few times in order to follow the one way system. It was definitely not the point of us ordering takeaway. The food was also not worth the money paid. The pizza was burnt and the burger was not as expected for the price. A lot of the places that we have visited around Scotland also had their doors open to prevent infection spreading. Perhaps this should be also done at the resort? The atmosphere was beautiful despite the disappointment. The kids meal though was good value!

I went for lunch to meet my sister for a first trip out after shielding. I was coming from Glasgow and followed the road signage to the hotel. When I got to the entrance it was closed for building works with no details how to get in from another entrance. I had to phone my sister who was coming from another direction who had managed to get in to find a route via Balloch. If I hadn't been meeting someone I'd of given up at that stage. When we arrived at the Boathouse it was also poorly signposted. When we went in it was laid out well from a social distancing point of view if very stark and canteen like. I ordered a burger with added cheese and bacon. It was £19.50. It came with a small portion of chips. No salad or coleslaw. It tasted nice but was very very expensive for what you got. On the plus side the staff were friendly. I had hoped for much better from a restaurant associated with a five star hotel.
