Great place to take kids with wellies at the moment but some paths are impassable to buggies or smaller kids. Make sure to take old clothes towels and a change of shoes, you're likely to end up with a wet bum! Stick to the paths for tiny kiddies and those that wouldn't be able to manage a fall. Take provisions if you don't want to wait in line for a long time at weekends for your coffee.

What a lovely place! I must’ve driven past this place hundreds of times and had no idea it existed until some friends suggested we visit. There’s a cafe, toilets, ample parking and lots of different trails to choose from. There is an adventure playground, but that was a bit busy so we dodged it (looks good though). There are plenty of maps and trail markers, so you can’t get lost. Parking is £2 all day (£3 all day for Bank Holidays), but you can pay by phone if you don’t have cash on you.

Beautiful park, very muddy today but still a nice walk. Cafe open and picnic tables available. Been a lovely afternoon
