Got up early for refreshing walk around the ancient woodland of Ashenbank. I followed a different path this time and was treated with some amazing veteran trees and ponds. An enchanting wood to explore with clearly marked paths and information boards. Only came across a few dog walkers as I was there very early. Easily accessible with a small but free car park.

My new favourite dog walking place. Car park is tiny but there's a lay-by further up where you can park. So many great walks and fun for kids too.

Can only talk about the car park which I would compare to other woodland car parks and say it's a pot holes muddy nightmare of a parking situation which does not include much cover when you have your vegetables out trying to get changed after a cycle ride. The reviewer You've been reviewed
