Wonderful place for a walk. Large expanse of surrounding vegetation such as heather, wooded areas ... conifers, silver birch, chestnut trees, etc. A good day out with adequate parking and a cafe on site

Excellent woodland with good facilities in the main cat park. Great for walking and nature.

The tower is under renovation which means you're not able to visit the interior so four stars for now. The walks are nice around the area. Not brilliantly sign posted though so take mobile with you so when you get lost you can guess your way out with one of the navigation apps. Parking is available on both sides of the A3 and there is a foot bridge to connect the two areas. You need to pay under normal conditions and it's not National Trust but during Covid parking has been free.

Part of an enjoyable heath walk. Open on selected date so check ahead if you want to climb to the top and get the view
