Pizza Express

Nice food slow service

We love our local Pizza Express, the staff are great and the food is delicious. Social distancing guidelines were followed and we felt as perfectly at ease on this visit as usual.

Lovely service and good pollo pesto pasta plus puddings. Overall good experience, always a pleasure to visit.

Great service, helpful and friendly staff. Tables well spaced out and good CV-19 set up. Reduced menu is ok.

Unfortunately our visit to WGC Pizza Express was a let down. I know things have changed because of Covid but even so some of the service was still very disappointing. We had to wait quite some time to even be seated, the service was incredibly slow, I saw another table (who came in after us) get the exact same starter as we had ordered and then recieve their mains around the same point when we got our starters (which we had to query with a member of staff as to where they may be. The dough balls and butter dip are very nice and came out hot, however our main was not at all the standard I would expect and if it wasn't for the fact I know from St Albans the pizza is nice, I would probably never step foot in a Pizza Express restaurant again. The bambino pasta bolognese had many burnt pasta pieces which where hard to eat and unpleasant, also it was as if it had been put in a microwave as it had dried out piece on top. The La Reine pizza was overcooked and slightly burnt, aswell as that the ingredients seemed scarce. Neither dish looked appealing or tastes all that. It is a real shame as apart from the many hard surfaces bouncing sound around the room, it looks lovely inside the restaurant. Thought to myself as I left that I wished I had listened to my daughter and gone to kfc instead would have been quick easy and tasty. I'm only giving one star because out waitress almost always had a smile the booths where comfy and clean. How ever food was appalling and service was too slow, unfortunately I will not be visiting this branch again.
