We registered with Selden in 2016 and initially found them very helpful. They always found same day appointments for our children and have sent regular reminders to us for free health checks and other age related tests we should be having. Reception staff seem polite and not overly curious as to why you need an appointment. The waiting room is a little dark and unwelcoming but in fact, we have never been kept waiting for long, i.e. their timekeeping is generally pretty good too. Since posting the above things have changed for the worse at Selden. Services seem very limited, doctors seem uncaring unless you get a locum and are keen to get rid of you as quickly as possible. We've had 2 misdiagnosed conditions, one of which resulted in surgery later that day and another meant that I was left with an incurable condition due to the delay in being diagnosed. Some reception staff are pleasant, others not so much and actually quite rude and unhelpful. It's very disappointing and worrying to feel you cannot trust your GP.

The practice manager is fantastic. Dr Vita as always was wonderful. I would say a little bit more patience and understanding from some of the reception staff, would have made this a five star review. However I do understand at this time, working so hard, it's understandable that patience maybe wearing thin.

I know that these are 'unprecedented' times and that we should be grateful for the NHS... and I am... but I'm not particularly grateful for Selden Medical Centre. Since I moved back from abroad last year, I have been singularly unimpressed with the service I've received from this practice, culminating today in an experience which involved me turning up at 8.57 for my 9am appointment, left sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes before I enquired what the matter was and then being briskly (as always) told that the doctor could fit me in but had to see a couple of other patients first (?) so I went and sat down again and finally was seen 1 hour and 37 minutes after my appointment time, only to be told by the doctor that she was doing me a favour seeing me as I had been 40 minutes late when I had arrived 3 minutes early! Then she briskly (of course) went through the motions of examining me, told me I'd be fine, then moved on to the next patient. Not impressed.

Absolutely disgraceful service by this centre. I visit once very 2-3 years for issues when they become to much. You are rushed through, not permitted to see a doctor just a nurse. When asked if you could discuss another medical matter your told its only one problem per appointment as they only have 10 minutes. Bearing in mind I had been in the 5 minutes and they were 15 minutes late! Time to move on.

Not easy to get through the phone during booking hours and almost impossible to get through after the booking hours as you get stuck on the voice mail forever. Good doctors and nice receptionists if you are able to get through the phone's voicemail.
