Always amazing views and walks to/ from Fairbourne. Good at any time of year. Closed for repairs, September to December 2021. See website

This is a place that I have been to a few times over the last decade. It's a beautiful location, quaint and so peaceful. Filled with memories of my late father who had his last holiday here. Make sure that you have a little cash to pay for the bridge toll, it's a must do to take in the beautiful views.

Beautiful views. Highly recommend. There is a honesty toll to pay but worth every penny. £1 adults 50p children. Car park near by. Few steps leading down to it. Plenty of walkers, and cyclists using it and the train goes right by.

The wooden (except for a small section) railway bridge from 1867 and the town of Barmouth are other places on the island that must be visited if you want to come back here often. The surroundings of the mountains and the waters of Cardigan Bay create a wonderful atmosphere. The bridge is the oldest wooden bridge in use on the island. It crosses the Mawddach river estuary and at low tide you will see a bridge in the desert and at high tide over a huge river.
