Great little place to spend an hour or two. The mines were very interesting and the website does warn you about the stairs as there are a number of them to climb. However I do think it should also be made clear in person before you buy your tickets as there are 186 of them and they are very steep!! The views of the mountains alone though I think are worth a visit. The picnic area and the exit point are great places to enjoy the view. Would definitely recommend.

A great little out of the way tourist destination. Interesting history and all well presented. There's a lot of walking and some very low ceilings. Well worth the trip and the small fee for the tickets. The view from the exit is fantastic!

Not a bad little place to visit. It certainly won't take up a much of your time to go through the mine and look around. The mine itself is very damp and wet. I'd advise wearing wellies or waterproof walking boots!

An amazing place to visit. Set in the heart of Snowdonia park it offers breathtaking views of a beautiful valley. The mine itself is a challenge and sadly I would not describe it as wheelchair accessible. There are 180+ steep stairs halfway through that for someone with a mobility disability I found a challenge but we'll worth the effort. The mine itself has several sections for you to stop and an audio tour you can enjoy. It is a beautiful and peaceful place that can easily soak up an hour of your time. There is a small gift shop and museum. The cafe was not open on our visit due to covid but there is one. The price may seem a little much for some but I feel it was worth every penny. This is a place I will visit again.

A great family adventure, perfect for when the weather is slightly inclement. Provides a fascinating journey deep into a previously working mine, with a self-guided tour and audio information points on the way around. Gives a real insight on what working conditions would have been like for the men, women and children who worked there. Takes about 1 hour to complete the tour, shame the cafe is currently closed.
