The majority of the reception staff are nice (bar one very rude gentleman) but I have had many, many, many problems with this surgery over the years. 1. It is incredibly difficult getting your prescription. On multiple occasions they have lost my prescription and have passed me back and forth between the reception and the pharmacy, acting as a messenger and bickering between each other. VERY unprofessional. 2. The wait times. I feel incredibly lucky to have free healthcare and I am more than happy to wait to be seen. But, every single time I attend the walk-in clinic I prepare myself for the long wait which averages (in my experience) at anywhere between 2-5 hours. You might have though that the wait time might be a little better for pre-booked appointments but you would be wrong. I would advise allocating an additional hour onto your time. I will mention one particular occasion where I had an appointment at 8:45, I was not seen until 10:30. I could understand maybe later on in the day as appointments will get backed up, but I was very frustrated and was eventually late for work. 3. Getting seen at all in the current circumstances is impossible. They direct you to the e-consult service to book an appointment. You are told you will be contacted within 48 hours of putting in the request. This did not happen. You will then contact the reception the following day to inform them you were not contacted, so they make it a priority and promise that you will receive a phone call by the end of the day. Yet again, you will not be contacted so you phone again the following morning. This time you might actually get a phone call as again they highlight your request and you get a text from the GP with an appointment time (phone call). But yet again, no phone call. At this point you feel like giving up. To anyone wondering whether to register at this surgery, I would advise against it unless you have no other option. Having spoken to other patients of the surgery I have found I am not the only one who feels this way, and they have all have similar experiences and frustrations.

Better than Bodnant, Always get seen at the drop in clinics (even if there is an hour wait). For free-healthcare I honestly can't really complain. I wish it was a bit easier to make non-urgent appointments as I was told I could be waiting 6 weeks. All the staff are super lovely :)

Receptionist is really nice, helpful and caring. My son got immediate registration and was seen on the same day.
