Mitcham Road Post Office

Edf has changed warm home discount voucher you will need to do at the post office now, I have been this post office they said top up machine not working any more. Shame on you EDF and Post office.

Essentially if you purchase postage online, they do not like to accept your parcels or letters as they do not get paid for it - none of my concern. I was told not to come back with my things as they don’t have space for it ?? Yes, 5 letters. He also said some nonsense about me having to go somewhere else to send off my parcels or pay for collections. After waiting ages in the rain to get a receipt for my letters I was basically told get lost with your click and drop letters.

Very bad, to not say horrible, service. The staff that attended me was quite rude. I don't recommend it at all.

I typically use another post office branch as I have a drop and go account (I have a small business). At present I cannot go to that branch because they are temporary closed. I attended the Mitcham branch yesterday Monday 6 April, and there was two women serving one older who had been working at the branch for years and another younger lady. As I was served by the younger lady the older women interrupted and told me I should go to the sorting office as it is a lot quicker service. I had quite a few items to post (no more than 30) as it had just been the weekend (All items were prepaid online, they just needed scanning so I can get my receipt) which in my opinion cuts down on the staff inputting the address into her computer. Today being Tuesday 7 April, I had realised that I had forgotten to put something into one of my envelopes yesterday so I fort I would go to the branch to see if I could get hold of it before it was collected. I had carried 10 items with me, which needed to be posted as it made sense seeing as I am going to the branch I might as well post my items, again these were all prepaid for and labelled. As soon as I got in to the post office the older lady was looking at me with an angry look on her face, again I was served by the younger lady and I had asked if it was possible to get hold of one of the items I had posted as I stated that I have left something out of it and she said no the post had all been collected. So, I said okay and said I would like to send the items I have off, the older women interrupted again and said we can’t serve you, you have to go to the sorting office, she said there was no room to keep my post. I had 10 items all weighing 230g large letters!!! She then said if I want me to post these I can but won’t give you a receipt. I told her I have been waiting in the queue and I do need all my receipts as proof of postage, and the only reason why I am back here is because I was hoping to get back one of my items! The younger lady then served me and the older women said that this is the last time! This is not acceptable. I have made the effort to prepay for all my item online before going to the post office. 8 out of /10 times my parcel are under 230g large letters not massive boxes where they would find it difficult to store. The older women was rude and there was no need for it. We have all had to adapt to the current changes and we all have to try and make each other’s lives a little easier. I have a disability where I find it hard to stand/ walk for a long amount of time. The lady would of happily of turned me away even though I had lined up in the queue for 10 minutes. Someone needs to speak to this member of staff because her attitude is unacceptable and I shall not be going back to that branch again even though it has now inconvenienced me.

Both the man and lady were very friendly and helpful, I'm a regular customer there
