Lloyds Bank

Unacceptable customer service. I went to the branch trying to open a new current account. Since I am not a UK citizen I could not provide a UK passport or driving license as proof of ID. As stated on the Lloyds website: "If you cannot provide one of the forms of proof of identity above, you will need to bring one document as proof of your identity and an additional document as proof of your address. The following documents are acceptable as proof of identify: -Current EU/EEA passport, photo driving licence or identity card etc. The following are acceptable for proof of address: -Bank or building society statement etc. I provided a bank statement as proof of address and a photo drivings license as proof of ID. Please note the guidelines do not differentiate between a UK and an EU driving license, it simply states photo driving license, which I provided. The member of staff immediately said the driving license is not acceptable as proof of ID. When I confronted him about the guidelines stated in the website he said I didn't understand what was written and was confused by the use of comma. I have been living in the UK for 10 years, I am a researcher at a world leading UK university and I write scientific papers for a living. I believe I am capable of understanding the English language as well as the use of comma. I am deeply disappointed and appaled at the customer service in this branch. Needless to say I will think twice about opening a bank account in Lloyds.

Unhelpful ,they didn't give me any solution They just said I can sit down all day I will not receive any solution. They rejected cheque into my account My client asked me for the original They didn't give back Them my client asked me for letter from lloyd's bank they rejected to explain on writing. I lost all day to visit the branch Made calls to lloyds banks helping Until today didn't get any solution I can go through with the payment as be holding They said destroyed my cheque without not reason Only I have the copy of the cheque I can read clearly dates ,names etc They still rejected and don't give back letter explanation . My client want to charge me from the cheque to cancel that one and issue an another one. I am very disappointed they didn't give any helping . And just told me to that I can sit down in the office I will. Get the same unswer but not solutions. How can I fear to put my money or cheque again to that bank .

i am a international uni student. I prepared all documents which are required from the bank. Btw our campus doesn't have stamp. they said you need to get stamp.. It is a hard and fast rules only this brunch. Finally i opened account ANOTHER brunch successfully.

This branch is the worst Lloyds bank branch! They have very unfriendly & unhelpful staff, their machines never works, there is always a long queue! They pay one person to stand in the middle of the bank just asking how he can help but he won't bother to help out the cashier with a long queue! The Asian looking girl who is full of herself is rude & unfriendly. She tells you they can't do this & that but then her colleagues do opposite! She can get more money for her looks else where & is not made to be a Customer Service!
