Excellent walks. Well presented castle with beautiful views over the countryside. The only issues were the main house was closed to visitors, covid 19 the reason but controllled access should be made available. Enjoyable afternoon out.

I really recommend going to Dinefwr Park and Castle. The entry fee was only £5, and that was for parking. We explored the GORGEOUS castle, along with the deer park and stopper for a quick snack at the café. The castle is beyond beautiful with some stunning views. The pond was pretty, too. The bogwalk was closed, so we can't comment on that. The reason I have rated it 4 stars was because during our visit of the deer park, we were told to keep on the paths. Following a lady and her son, we walked towards what we assumed was a path towards the house. Unfortunately, a neighbor of the house stopped us 15 minutes or so in our walk and rather rudely assumed that we were purposefully off path and putting the deer's health in jeopardy. It is on the onus of the establishment to make sure we as visitors know where the paths are, and if so many people have gone that way to create a path then it was not our fault for assuming it was. It didn't put a damper on our visit too badly, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth as I felt that he was being rude to visitors. Overall, I had a really lovely visit to Dinefwr and I would recommend it. I just hope they put more signs up to help visitors know where the deer parks limits are, in the future. 🦌🏰
