Love the DocHouse and that it exists.
Great films, comfy chairs. Only downside is that the screens aren't bigger so popular screenings sell out quick. During the pandemic they have put on an amazing range of online viewings and still foster the doc community in a positive way (also thanks to their whatsapp group).
I am not a documentary film buff, but I really enjoy watching them - so over the last few years Bertha DocHouse has become my place for discovery! During lockdown particularly the programming has been so good, with lots of Q&As as well as films, and they’ve been so inventive at making it a lively community. I’d recommend joining the WhatsApp group for their recommendations and to get updates on what’s on.
Great as a cinema and centre of documentary filmmaker talks. During the Covid pandemic, they've also been running an excellent programme of online events and networking, as well as sharing info and generally keeping the community of doc-makers and doc-lovers alive and interacting
Always a pleasure. It's my favourite location of all the Curzons. Good range of docs, and reasonable representation regarding diversity in film. They're taking social distancing seriously and this is greatly appreciated.
I love this cinema and even now that it’s closed the online events and screenings are like a lighthouse in these dark times, absolutely recommended!
