We sat outside in December but had an electric heater above for emergency warmth. Had two coffees and a scone with cream and jam and a pain au raison total about 15 pounds with service. Nice way to sit in the open and see life go by in Barnes. Obviously the Olympic does meals and other snacks from the restaurant and competition for the outside seats was high by 12.30 as it was good weather and the brunch options seemed very popular.
Café & toilets super clean. Consistently fabulous flat whites. Courteous & professional staff. Covid free haven of peace..
We had a nice lunch outside. The location was lovely and the staff members were friendly and kind. I don't give 5 only for the lack of few little details.
We ordered a vegetarian hamburger which was very nice but served alone in a big round plate. I understand the place wants to sell the sides but the hamburger served it in that way really seems something is missing in the plate. I suggest a change of plate with a rectangular or similar and add a decorative basic side like lettuce or anything that can make the plate more presentable because it's a shame, after all is 10£, I think it wouldn't change that much in terms of final cost but the look of it would be nicer.
Another little detail was the coffee, I ordered an espresso and nobody bring sugar or ask me if I need it. Again, little details that could make a place like this one perfect as the expectancy is quite high.
Great ambience. Attentive staff. Delicious Welsh rarebit. What's not to like?
For an especially chilked, cool cinema night, there's no better place. Foid is amazing too
