This review is from a more recent visit, after Lockdown. When we arrived, we were only given the à la carte menu, not the set menu. The starters arrived, but no cutlery or napkins. The food was great, although the malsara sauce could have been stronger. Finally, when the bill was presented, the waiter stood there with the card machine, waiting. I suggested she could go while we checked it. She never came back! Must be new service staff.

Felt completely safe during these times. The food was delicious and we have booked again for next week

31.10.20 - between 3pm and 4pm. The food was incredible, the cocktail was divine. The manager ruined the experiance. My partner and I were sat down and left to make some choices. After discussing the wine list we went with two passionfruit Spritz cocktails. We ordered two cocktails, two glasses of water and 1 starter ( garlic bread which we added £2.00 extra to make it a large ) and two main courses. Main courses was a burger and chips, and my partner had a chicken pasta dish. This was from the set menu ( 2 for £15 pounds or 3 for £19 ). So that's two drinks ( not included in deal ) at £6.50 each. That's £13.00 plus £19.00 for the weekend deal. In total that's £34.00. ( including the 2 pound extra for bread. So imagine this. We have the most incredible meal - 5 stars for food and bevs without a doubt it was delicious. Come the arrival of the check - the price came to £41.00 or something around that price. We obviously worked out there was an error as they priced the two mains and the starter separately. We disputed this with the waiter and he brought over the person who had served us at the beginning, we assume this to be the manager. Simply put - He escalated this situation into an argument which was incredibly embarrassing for my partner and I. we explained that we had even checked online as well and it said absoloutly no where that It has to be one of each SET. he himself had no objection to our order when we requested in words "The weekend deal - 3 for £19.00." And proceeded with our order with no advise on to how the meal was meant to be ordered? Being workers in hospitality for 10 years ( you simply cant progress in this profession if your an a**hole ) we were incredibly polite to the waiters all throughout our meal, we tidied our plates to make it easier for them to serve us. We said please and thank you and done our best to show gratitude towards them. Only to have the manager attempt to show us up infront of his other customers. He quite quickly ( when I pointed out his un-professionalism ) went into fight or flight and attempted to remedy the situation by painting us loudly as nasty walk out customers by shouting "No problem! No problem! You can leave and not pay it's ok!". At this point my partner was half in tears from his manipulative actions and began literally pleading with him to just pay. When I saw what he had done,I looked around and saw everyone staring. Regardless of what you may believe being a speculator reading a biased review from a customer. You must understand that when a complete stranger makes your loved one cry, that has crossed a a line. My fight or flight /adrenaline or whatever kicked in at that point and rather than losing it and saying something stupid, I collected my self enough to raise my voice above his ( but not aggressively loud so that people would not listen ) and I respectively announced that he was outrageous for trying to make is appear as if we are something we are not, I summarized what he had done @ the people speculating around us and walked out with my partner in tears. An absoloutly disgrace. Even if they called back and apologised ( you have my number @manager ending 50 ). I would never visit your branch again through fear of having spit in our food. You displayed such a manipulative form of hate that I would never trust your team till I draw my last breath. As a Eltham resident for nearly my whole life. I say... its nothing personal... because I dont know you or how your day went leading up to this event, but you was an absolute disgrace to the industry and a shame to customer service.
