Elephant Beds

I do not recommend Elephant Beds at all and would advise caution to anyone considering ordering anything from them. Purchasing the bed was absolutely fine but then that was the point where we gave them almost a £1,000, so that’s not surprising We ordered a new bed and were told there would be a four week delivery due to covid and that this could stretch to six weeks, which we agreed was fine. Six weeks later we hadn’t heard anything so telephoned the store to be told initially there were problems with the factory and then also that there were problems with the fabric. We were assured another two weeks and the bed would be delivered. A few weeks later we got a phone call saying the bed was ready for delivery, great (I thought)! The day of the delivery came and first thing in the morning we had a phone call from the store saying that they had ordered the wrong bed. I asked if I could have a refund and was told no, so I had no other option but to wait, we agreed to wait another four weeks at which point they would allow me my money back. Four weeks later I phoned the store and was told the bed had in fact just come in so we arranged delivery. Delivery was horrendous: A week later two delivery guys delivered the bed, they marked all the paint going up my stairs, took a chunk out of the plaster and smashed an antique candle from the wall, they then left very quickly! I phoned the shop and was told they take no responsibility for delivery damages, he offered me a measly £50 (which I have not yet received). Unfortunately this was not the end of the drama…. The bed came with no paperwork, but when my husband took everything out of the packaging to build the bed it was the wrong size, we ordered a double and received a king!!!! We had no choice but to build the bed as our other one had been broken down. We could not wait another six weeks for a replacement, so with very little choice we bought a mattress from them. They agreed to sell us this at cost but still nowhere near good enough, we shouldn’t have had to be out of pocket anymore than we already were… But at this point I was so frustrated and upset that I just wanted to have any dealings with them over with! All in all the experience was a complete nightmare, our property was damaged which will cost us significantly. Also, we now have an incorrect size bed so have had to replace the mattress and all of the bedding which has also significantly cost us. Customer service is awful Delivery is awful. Beware

Dealt with a guy named Robert was friendly and very helpful he warned us of a delay due to covid which I was expecting, took delivery of bed yesterday and very pleased with the quality and the service I've received. Will be recommending to family and friends let's support local business!

Great customer service, not too pushy and very helpful. Good prices and selection of bed frames, headboards etc. I’m very happy with my new bed - the mattress is really comfy. Prompt delivery - the bed was delivered within 12 days and the day before the delivery, I was given an estimated delivery timeframe of 4 hours. I would return again and I would definitely recommended Elephant Beds Cardiff.

Quality is good however Customer service is atrocious. Made an order and waited months. No correspondence and when contact very unhelpful related to sourcing the items. Expect at least 2-3 months for orders to arrive and don't expect to be updated

Local company with high quality products and personal service. I have bought two mattress from them and they have always been helpful and professional. Recently they agreed to deliver for a THIRD time after my teenage kids didn’t get out of bed to answer the door the first two times! Not many companies would do that IMHO.
