We loved our visit to Caldey Island! It was very peaceful and it was lovely to get out the house and spend time outdoors, crossing on the ferry, digging our toes in the sand and eating a picnic on the beach, visiting ruined chapels and a little chocolate shop (more fudge than chocolate!) and visiting the monastery are all highlights. We took a walk up to the lighthouse where you'll find the most magnificent views too. The chanting monks were a bit of a disappointment, but overall one of the best days we've had in Wales, and a bargain at the price. Best to do in good weather.

Very beautiful and calm place. Lovely to visit. Tours are limited to men & boys as it is an active monastery. There are some other lovely bits of the island to visit, like the old priory and chocolate factory. A lovely cafe in the village as well as shops and a post office/museum.

Beautiful island just off the coast of Tenby, Wales. Accessible by a 30 min boat journey. The island is impeccable, with monastery located in the centre and a light house a short walk away. The monks make perfumes and chocolate on the island and can be purchased from a shop on the island. The island includes a fantastic quiet beach, with white, soft sand and a number of walking trails. Amazing place.

Caldey Island has a lovely tranquil feel to it. Gorgeous place with lovely people. Great family day out.

Amazing place to escape from the main land. Unspoiled island with beautiful walks and history. You need to arrange a whole day to sight see.
