Owain Glyndwr was the last native Welsh person to hold the title Prince of Wales. He was born in 1359 into a powerful family of the Anglo-Welsh nobility, during a time of relative peace between the tribes of Wales and the English aristocracy. Nothing certain is known of Owain after 1412 but folk memory in Wales has always held him in high regard and almost every parish has some landmark or story about Owain and Corwen is no exception.

The pride the people of of this town have for this man is amazing, the history itself is as utterly amazing. the Glyndwr hotel itself I recommend as well. 10/10 a place I recommend for everyone!
