Be sure to check for strings of plastic in your food
Always a pleasure visiting Hafez. Lovely decor and the food is delicious. Also, this restaurant is always recommended by Iranians so think that says it all :)
The atmosphere and decor is cozy and beautiful. It's clear the owner cares about the place and put effort into the place. Food was good. Ground lamb excellent. Starters, especially the hummus and "salad" were mediocre. Overall, good lunch experience
Both the portion sizes as well as the quality of the food was substandard, especially considering the price. The dishes are also served with very poor presentation, and indeed, lack the flavour which Persian dishes are usually associated with.
The waiters were very polite, however when we attempted to deliver feedback to the owners, their attitude was very poor. They simply said “we won’t listen to this” and “don’t compare us to other restaurants” and then stormed off.
There are several Persian restaurants in London and indeed the UK, and I would strongly recommend those over this one.
Great atmosphere and customer service, clean and neat environment. Really tasty and filling food - from the starters the dolma and the yoghurt with shallots were my favourite ones! Lamb kebab was so so good (coming from someone who is reluctant towards lamb)!
