Station is always very dirty and the lifts are often broken (only one lift in each direction). They should completely re-do the stairs and add escalators and more lifts. Very dark at night, not uncommon to hear stories of people getting mugged. Walk fast, be aware of the surroundings and do not show off your phones when heading home after sunset. Little CCTV and completely unstaffed.
Terrible station. The lift is most of the time broken and you have hundreds of stairs to go up. Very dirty.
The station itself is well located in the neighborhood, easy access to LCY airport and the entertainment center O2.
However it cleanliness is to be talked about. As a local resident, I often see the station in a poor state. To be clear, I am not saying the station is constantly dirty but it is regularly people vomit in the stairs and it takes ages for the staff to clean it out. Also regularly cans of beers and leftover fast food get thrown everywhere.
Well located station right by the Thames Barrier park, with frequent trains from Woolwich through to both Bank and Stratford. Fully accessible too.
Nice and easy access. Only negative is the amount of stairs. There is a lift however.
On mid level there is are two ticket machines although too wouldn’t be aware of this unless you took the stairs.
Platform level there is plenty of seating and bins while you wait.
Beware although trains are frequent it maybe to get on board.
