It's basic. But I enjoyed it Stuart is a mine of information and happy to answer questions or enlarge on points brought up. After trowling for a few hours, I have a greater respect for those who do it and never get as much as a mention.
Amazing place and experience - if you want to try something different for the day then you get a real insight into exploring a medieval city, a chance to do your own digging and 'finds' and the huge experience and interests of Stuart who runs the place. Good for families with older teenagers who like history (and don't mind being distracted from their phones for a few hours). Social distancing and hand sanitisers in place etc.

Quiet privately excavated site by the roadside... stone buildings and wells from medieval period.
Lost over £100 buying gift vouchers for a Christmas gift for relatives. A few months after purchase a message went online saying the dig was closed. Repeatedly asked for a refund but my emails were ignored until someone finally responded on Facebook and I was promised a refund. Got in touch with person in charge who ignored my emails until I used the word 'court' in the title after which they responded immediately. Was all made out to be my fault (despite promises of a refund) and I was advised there was no money to refund me with.
