A really quaint little spot, park in the car park that is free, which makes a change! Look out to the peninsula and see the sea roll in, admire the views as you can walk round the perimeter of the walls when the tide isn't in or sit on the benches around the walk ways or in the little walled garden at the entrance to the car park. Sit and enjoy an ice-cream or a drink from across the road and take in the beauty of the surroundings that are to be had. You can now wander round the ruins of the castle for small fee. We stopped here only this afternoon on our way to Pendene Sands and was impressed with the slow pace of things, would definitely visit again when in the area as we are only here for one weeks holiday. Beautiful scenery and weather to match.

We had booked the slot for Thursday and had paid for it. Tbh booking it was easy enough. Weather partly wasn't on our side but eventually perked up. Had a lovely wander around castle and I enjoyed smelling the roses and herbs. Our family member was happy with his adventure. The lady on the gate was friendly and the so was the cashier in the shop. However, even though I had paid via online, I forgot my fone and I had to tell her this and she didn't understand I hadn't a qr code. I explained that my fone doesn't do qr codes, not to my knowledge and that am not techno minded. She asked for our names and ticked us off. Some of the areas weren't open due to the excuse of covid but the excuse part is my opinion. Apart from that, was OK about the whole experience.

It is a lovely place to visit. I suppose we were lucky with the weather. Dylan Thomas boat house just up the hill. Amazing chip shop, chips double cooked. Fish fresh from the sea.

I have been coming to Laugharne for that many years I feel like I'm part Welsh. Dylan's boat house garage was really a overgrown shed when I first went and now it's restored to how it should look. I initially dragged my wife and kids here at first but now they appreciate what a beautiful place this is. As long as I come to Pembroke I will visit.👍

Beautiful scenery and big vistas. I can understand why Dylan Thomas loved this place. Free parking by the castle (ruins), can become busy, but it is a short walk from there to Dylan Thomas's boat house and writing shed. Despite it being a Saturday in peak season, a number of tearooms etc are still closed.
