This is a well stocked supermarket which sell more unusual products than many supermarkets. Clear spacious shopping space. I liked the whole shopping experience.

Whilst they do offer a wide range of products, it is unfortunate that their prices are not competitive enough to encourage me to shop here. However I do like the convenience of a small post office section where I am able to pick up click and collect items or post mail. Often this means that I can avoid having to queue up in the nearby post office. Please note that the post office section has operating hours independent of the shop itself, so open later and close earlier.

The sushi at Budgens is out of this world tasty. I’m beyond impressed by their selection and quality. I’ve eaten at $300 Omakase’s, and $18/roll places in San Francisco and little old Budgens sushi takes the cake for ROI (Return On Investment). To delve a little deeper: Rice: Fantastic texture and excellent quality. The grain is short and of “sushi” quality. (Other places use the incorrect rice, but not good old Budgens) Fish: MY GOSH. Like what the actual heck. The quality is outstanding, the fish is cut correctly and there was copious marbling in my salmon. Budgens sushi is like a meme. (Think meme format, hear me out on this one) “Literally absolutely no one: Budgens: Extremely high quality sushi with a fish to rice ratio that puts most “sushi restaurants” to shame.” Avocado: Lush, green, perfectly ripe bites in every bite. Not that half effort stuff you find at cheap to-go places but actually thoughtfully picked avocados. Nori (the seaweed): Most cheap or grocery sushi places will use lower quality nori that wrinkles, puckers or shrinks post wrapping. Good old Budgens delivers with crisp yet lovingly tight results. This my friends is a quality date night at home with sushi that rivals most restaurants in the angel area. Honestly look no further than your favorite Budgens.

Good selection of foodstuff but ALWAYS ALWAYS CHECK THE RECEIPT - I've always been overcharged and the prices advertised are not always what they say they are. I would've given 3 or 4 stars but for the misleading prices and being over-charged everytime I visited.

Budgens is a convenient store if there are no local sainsburys or tesco's around. Some products are pricey, others are pretty cheap. They charge too much for toilet paper. Their pastries (especially the mixed assortment of pastries) can be dry and over baked. Their fruit and veg can be terrible and inedible to ok with a very short use by date. Their bananas always seem to be brown and bruised. Some of the fruit and veg is pricey but some match the price of sainsburys and tesco products. The staff at two budgens I have visited could do with some customer service training, a little friendly greeting when you check out at the till would help. Some of the offers online are not shown in the store, so I have to ask them if they are honouring the deal. I have asked them to order a more wide range of plants four times now, they promised they would but have not done so. Some of the plants look half dead.
