Does what it’s supposed to. Average zone 4 station that serves a purpose. No toilet facilities due to major work required to fix drainage (apparently). Station is step free but if you need to exit on the opposite side, there is a stair case in pretty shabby condition or an insanely steep subway outside that isn’t suitable for unpowered wheelchairs.
The station is staffed, but you can’t really tell as they’re usually hidden in the office watching on the cameras.
Unfortunately TfL aren’t bothered about cleanliness, so the whole place looks a bit grubby these days.
Go there everyday.pretty standard station but as t least there's a waiting room for cold mornings and always friendly staff and a coffee shop
New entrance now open on Westbound side for easy access for disabled and people with prams etc. Still no toilets Gents closed for years and now the ladies has been permanently closed, bit grubby staff not much in evidence, (but better than Snaresbrook though) could be better but could be a lot worse, a shame station staff do not do some tidying up of the station as in the past,not sure what their jobs entail these days, they just seem to sit in their boxes on their phones all day
Indigent jazz musicians crowd together for warmth. Give generously if you can.
The oyster machines frequently do not work. However the staff are brilliant!
