Dennis Chippy

I've been wanting to check this place out for ages . I have to say very good.

I've used dennis for many years now and recently due to me voicing my concerns over poor quality of food they have put a note on my account saying do not deliver. I have never ever felt so disrespected over something so simple to fix. Friday nights were always dennis nights when my daughters are over or me and my sis want to get our regular. Dennis was always the one. Nobody is perfect, things can go wrong but your attitude towards your customers is something that should never go sour. Our last order we got our usual. Delivery came and we opened it only to find chips were over cooked and so discoloured. We phoned and just wanted to let the team know what we had been brought and instead of empathy or understanding, we got "its your fault for leaving them for 10minutes when they arrived" "its late so we cannot do anything next time they'll be fresh" No sorry at all. Called the following day to speak to manager who had been spoken to by the night manager, he in the past has been so understanding and this time was far from accomodating. "What do you want me to do about it" my reply was simple ... you could've just said we're sorry and next time you order we shall give you the chips on the house or even a large for price or medium... anything...... a free ketchup! 2 weeks ago my sister tried to order and got told we no longer deliver to your postcode... dennis is on lea bridge road and we live e5 just off lea bridge road... actually thought wow maybe they have stopped.. then again tonight we went on just eat which said dennis delivers to your area?? Rang to ask if this was true before we placed the order to be told " ahh no sorry we don't go to your postcode" when questioned to tell the truth we got " sorry, theres a note against your name saying do not deliver" REALLY?!?! Over being given the bottom of the pot chips and we're now the antagonist? it burns me because i really used to love dennis fridays.... i think this shows the levels of petty that will stooped too over poor quality of food and a simple concerned raised against it, considering the tikes in the past we have been sent burnt fish that was hard enough to use as doorstops and the levels you went to make that right.. Dennis..... not cool at all .... done... and i hope you never treat anyone else like this ever again.

Chips were nice and a generous portion at a good price.
