Not sure what happened over lockdown, but it seems there’s been a change in management/chef. The food is now distinctly average and the buzzing vibe that made it such a cool little neighbourhood eatery has gone. The staff were nice and polite but it’s lost what made it unique. Gutted.

First post-Covid dinner visit to Pedler and although things slightly different - less variety and more on the snack and nibbles side - was still delicious. Great choice of wines and cocktails as ever. We had Waldorf salad and smoked cheese, cheese toasties and delicious tiramisu and chocolate brownie ice cream. Pared back menu but felt very safe and spaced out with all necessary precautions taken.

Small but well put together tapas style restaurant not to be missed. We visited this venue for a friends birthday, there was a large group but they handled all the guests well and orders and food were taken and arrived quickly. The menu consists of a number of small sharing plates of different styles ranging in price from £5 to £13. The chef recommended 3 plates per person, we shared 4 between the 2 of us and that worked well. The food was well presented and tasted lovely, the eclectic menu choices made for an interesting ensemble but we enjoyed every dish. We opted for a mid range bottle of white which was around £25. It went down well, so much we ordered a second. All in all the bill came to £86 so not the cheapest dinner night for the quantity of food but quality and atmosphere more than up for this. Would recommend!

Pedler does the best cooked breakfast in the area – every item is delightful! Especially the bread which has a zing of sweetness and compliments the rest perfectly. Super friendly staff, and reasonably priced, AND you can actually book (unlike so many places you might find for brunch in Shoreditch). If you’re in the area, you’d be crazy to miss out on Pedler for brunch!

Really good food. But also expensive. Good quality 4.5 /5, value for money 4
