It's great that this place is so integrated into the modern local community , I'm not religious but I appreciate that as a venue it welcomes a range of different people regardless of affiliation.

It feels a little sinful but this church has a fantastic jazz night each Friday. It is set downstairs in the crypt. Alcohol and food is available. I would advise booking ahead but tickets are usually available at the door. The range of great musicians suggest this club is run by true lovers of jazz. This serves for a tremendous evening. If you are not sure about jazz, this is an affordable foray but it is a nobly serious club so do not expect to chat all night without receiving a tut or two. That said, everyone is friendly so if you are on your own, give it a try.

Amazing church building, large inside with great detail and lots of seating, fantastic location and lovely, friendly Fr Nicholas Fr Nicholas gave my uncle a well respected funeral, conducted as the family wished and no rush on time. The Father encouraged for anyone to come up to the mic and say a few words. Throuoghly enjoyed the whole funeral service. I will be back for a sunday service.

If you're looking for great live music, affordable drinks and, oh, a mini Japanese cafe in Southeast London, check out this intimate church crypt-turned-jazz-lounge. They really do pull out all the stops where music is concerned. Be warned that you might have to wait a while for food or the loo and you'll need to get to the venue early because it gets crowded down there, but you will leave smiling and humming. I guarantee that!
