Going to be honest here. The only reason this is a 1 star review is because of the food. The staff are excellent and very friendly, and happy to help when you are missing bits of your order etc. Their service is brilliant. The food on the other hand, leaves something to be desired. It’s categorically the worst Chinese food I’ve eaten. Going to be clear here... it’s not just the worst out of a bunch; it’s just down right bad food. The beef chow mein is strips of the worst quality beef with some kind of grey slime poured over some noodles. The Cantonese chicken is a strange soggy brown coating on some rather rough sauce that clearly has far too much red food colouring. The only saving grace that this place has is the prawn crackers... which were, well, edible. I’ve had student grade ready meals better quality than this.

Myself and my wife use this takeaway once a month. I can't complain about the food, and typically when I order on the phone to collect the food is with us within 15 minutes. However, was sorely disappointed by the service this last Saturday. Ordered on the phone and was told it would be 30 - 40 minutes, fair enough they were busy. So I went down there 35 minutes after calling and ended up sitting in there for another 35 minutes. In all the order took over an hour. In most cases you can understand that when busy things become a little hectic, but I was most disappointed to see people walk in, order at the counter, and get their food before me. It was fairly obvious that they had forgotten our order, and I had to ask twice about how much longer it would be. I was also disappointed in the evident dodging of answering the question "How long will it be?", one response was just "Yeah....." and a blank stare, but on the first occasion someone walked off to find out and didn't come back! I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, usually very good. But would much prefer transparency, if you have forgotten the order just say so, admit to the error.
