The Townhouse Tunbridge Wells

Stopped in last night for some tapas and were seated in the beautiful courtyard garden. There was only one waitress covering all areas of the restaurant - I have no idea how she kept up with everything, but she did and all with a smile! We didn't wait long for food and our glasses were kept full! The place had a lovely atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Avoid - dodgy place - Very poor service If I could I've had put 0 stars. Today I had my sister coming over for a visit and I thought to treat her for some nice tapas. I went there before and liked the place but after this experience I will never going back again. I had the worst experience ever. Unfortunately we did not finish our food as my 1 year old daughter was unsettled so we had to leave. So I asked for a doggie bag as half of the food was still on the table but the waiter said that due to the Eat Out and Help Out scheme people used to order more than they can manage just to have a take away. So we left the food, we went downstairts to pay our bill but they have tried to make us pay another bill of a value of £100 of a table next to us but we were the only ones eating upstairs so something was not right. The waitress at the till was really unprofessional and rude as she insisted that we ordered those things which we did not and she did not even apologies for her mistake but she kept insisting. Moreover I gave her a feedback regarding some super salty pimiento de padrones instead of apologiesing she made up some excuses. I had to reassure her that I will pay for that even if we did not eat it at all and that was just a feedback for their reference which she did not care. Very poor service! Definitely I would not reccomend this place to anyone who wants to spend a nice time.

Great night out with good friends, good wine and amazing tapas. You have to bring friends though! Highly recommended.

Wonderful work lunch. Range of Tappas dishes were really diverse and what good food!

Great restaurant with nice garden space, seafood paella and seafood plater are my favourites there. Nice beer 🍻
