My husband and I had our "date day" here. We used a Groupon for cream tea a and it was really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a little walk around, but not enough time so we plan to go back again. Maybe even for another cream tea!

The food was expensive slow service. What made our day was Paul the gentleman that gave us the guided tour, full if fun and information full marks.

Fantastic Stately home with many hidden treasures and firsts such as 1st Cantilever Staircase, Flush toilet that warranted a visit from Victoria and Albert, 700year old bench in gatehouse, 400yr old human cutout used in window as a security device, library with 1st edition of Jane Eyre and crockery used 3 times just for Queen Victoria's visit that closed Minton's pottery for 3 weeks whilst it was made...... Well worth the entrance money and expense of a guided talk. The Orangery is well worth a stop for a Cream Tea tasting good and good value too. All in All if you are in Warwickshire this should not be missed nearly 900 years of history and a place of significant influence. I was born in Coventry too long ago and never knew this gem existed on my doorstep.
