Just recently went to McDonald's with my boyfriend. We decided to eat in as we had been walking around town for quite a while. We were quickly seated by the kind employee at the front door and escorted to our seats by another kind employee at the top of the stairs. We were seated in a corner isolated from the rest of the customers. After ordering our meal on the ordering screen an employee quickly wiped it down afterward. We were served promptly and the meal was delicious. Fries were fresh, though the wrap and the chicken legend was smaller than we remember but that might just be because we haven't been to a McDonald's since March. Overall we really enjoyed our visit. Felt very safe and very clean.

I've popped by here on several occasions now since it reopened due to the Corona virus. The staff were very helpful in showing what you had to do & how to order etc. We went for the breakfast menu & had the following. Pancakes & sausage with syrup Sausage & egg Mcmuffin (double naturally) Breakfast wrap which had egg & cheese in it Hash browns Drinks We went & sat in Colchester Castle Park by the Goldfish pond to enjoy our food. It was well cooked & it did not last very long! The best part for me was the utterly delicious sausage & egg Mcmuffin (double patty), I put a small dollop of ketchup in it & thoroughly enjoyed eating it. The kids really enjoyed their pancakes & sausage, the syrup was a particular favourite as they managed to get it everywhere!! Lol..... I do highly recommend McDonald's for their freshly cooked food & thanks again to the very helpful staff. Enjoy! Justine xXx

Not the most pleasant experience. There were two queues outside, one for eat in and another for takeaway. There was a single worker outside who looked very stressed managing both queues and sending people in one at a time. Inside, a large area has been devoted to deliveries, with staff screaming out order numbers for Just Eat and Deliveroo workers. Access to the kiosks is tight and it's unclear where you're supposed to stand while you're waiting for your meal. People were all over the place with the 2 metre rule not being followed.
