After a great walk around the Heybridge Basin, we found Paul's Plaice by accident.
The fish batter was still nice and crispy after our journey home to Witham and the chips were really nice too. We enjoyed it so much I will drive here in the future for our fish and chips dinners!

The absolute best place for fish and chips. My partner and I used to live in Heybridge and came here at least once a week. We moved to Suffolk and we still come back regularly just for their chips!
Amazing food - freshly cooked. Large portions at very reasonable prices. The staff are lovely - always friendly. Children receive a free lolly when food is ordered. Really clean and long opening hours. Fantastic !
This is one of the best fish and chips takeaway I've tried. The fish is fresh and normally cooked to order. Competitively priced food and really nice staff. Plenty of parking available. Highly recommended!
