good it was edible, large portion, questionable on whether it was cod or not
The website clearly says they are open on Saturdays 4pm-9pm but i have been calling them and taken a few journeys into overton to try and order but it hasn't been open. I understand that COVID may mean inconsistant opening hours at time but would be helpful if the website was updated to reflect this and improve customer service!
Absolutely lovely cod and chips. We have 4 adults in our house and we made the mistake 1st time we visited of ordering 4 large cod and chips. We had a lot of chips left over as we just could not eat anymore. The fish just fell off from the batter. It was hot, juicy and so delicious. We have been back again for 4 cod with 2 small chips. Never had a problem with it being dry. Always queuing out the door so that speaks for itself. Thank you for the lovely food.
It has been very erratic in recent times. Sometimes good as per many reviews on here, but today often it drops the ball!
Just had two cod and one was as dry as anything, other one was fine. Looked like it had been cooked earlier in the day and kept in the warm compartment for ages.
Too far to go back and change.
Hope the owner does take Notice of these complaints and not ignore them, as it does seem to have become like this since the senior guy (not sure if that is the owner) no longer is in the shop.
We travel nearly 10 miles to get fish and chips from here! Fabulous fish and chips, huge portions and always great service from lovely staff,
