Our first visit to Caernarfon in many years and we were lucky to come across the The Old Courthouse. A high end restaurant but not over priced. Not a large menu but enough choice to cover all tastes, and the food was all cooked with fresh ingredients and presented perfectly. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service and adhered to all coronavirus regulations, which is not easy for anyone.
The atmosphere in this fantastic building was very nice despite not being full on a Sunday evening, the background music really added to the occasion.
I really hope this new restaurant does well, they deserve it.
The restaurant was beautiful and very unique being in the old courthouse. The tables were well spaced out due to covid restrictions. We had a lovely table at the window looking over the street and castle walls. The food was excellent and of very good quality. Our waiter was very good and attentive.
Absolutely wonderful food!! The staff are so efficient and helpful. You need to go and try it out yourself... Seriously words will not do it the justice it deserves. Go and enjoy! The owner is lovely and deserves every success!! ❤️
The Courthouse is a lovely space but unfortunately our meals were mediocre. I could cook seabass better and the fish was small. The chips tasted reheated. The green salad was just leaves out of a bag. Would expect better for the price. Am local. Would hope that this is not the norm. Was hoping to take my parents as we are friends with Judges Clerks an previous legal teams that stayed with us when on cases. Disappointed
As far as food goes, hard to beat in Caernarfon these days. Been a while since I'd been in my old stomping grounds, but getting inside the old court house (without being on trial) was a great experience. Worth a visit!
