Really really disappointed with the meal I had this evening.(I wrote this on Friday but reviewed the wrong chip shop) I’ve been craving a chippy for weeks and this was shocking. My partner had fish,chips and mushy pea while I had battered sausage, chips and curry sauce. The only thing that was nice was the mushy peas! The battered on my sausage was like leather, I’ve never had anything like it. Thick white raw batter on the inside? With a dry sausage in the middle. My partners fish was soggy and really really fishy in taste. Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had! :(

Great atmosphere friendly staff welcoming and food lovely nothing is to much. Very good selection. Will also cook anything for you, if you don’t mind waiting for a short period.

Best chippy around always freshly cooked, been using Mike's Chippy for over 20 years and have no intention to change.

1st time we have been here. Was good to see a chippy open in Lockdown. But not when the chips are cooked in Old Oil
